I am an assistant professor of Political Science at Arkansas State University. I earned my Ph.D. at the University of Missouri, where my research centered on legislative term limits.

I study legislative politics with a focus on state government. Specifically, my work evaluates the intersection of institutional rules and member careers. My research on political careers examines legislative turnover and its causes and consequences across the 50 states.

In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I currently serve as the University's Coordinator of our Washington Center partnership. In this role, I have the privilege of leading students on trips to Washington D.C., and I oversee student internships.
